INRAT’s missions are as follows: Organize, execute and publish all the research and experimentation works related to the improvement of plant and animal production techniques. Gather and study all genetic resources whose use and culture are of interest to countries. Create plant varieties and improve animal breeds adapted to Tunisian conditions. Improve production systems by developing appropriate techniques and methods. Study the conservation, processing and use of agricultural products. Conduct any physical, economic and sociological research of interest to the rural environment and its environment. Contribute to the transfer of technology and support extension and demonstration activities by providing administrative services, professional bodies and specialized institutes with knowledge and technologies that can be disseminated.
